If there is PUS, that can often indicate infection. I am a bit scared for your baby, actually, and I DO think you need to take him in, asap. Are these all over? Is it hives?
There is also a deadly dog flu going around. Either way, the symptoms you're describing really concern me due to the fact that he is hiding/isolating - which animals normally only do when they really ARE sick. PLEASE take him in.
