Just thought of another thing. I also think that James Patterson is really easy to get hooked on and I had this thought as I was reading a couple chapters at lunch today..... I think the reason they are so hard to put down is the short chapters. Does that sound weird? It just seems like the chapters are short and chock-full of stuff but he doesn't ramble so much like some authors. I keep saying... one more chapter, one more chapter but each new chapter sucks me in - maybe because I know it will be short and interesting - but then before I know it, I've blown through way more chapters than I had intended.
