Oh, honey, take a deep breath. Don't work yourself up over this. Things happen, we can't control everything (even though we try, and it'd be totally easier that way

). Especially since you're saying it's becoming more of an issue, enough so that it's disrupting other things and upsetting you even more than I think it makes sense to talk to the doctor about this.
Don't work yourself up for that conversation either! (Though if it were me I'd probably be rehearsing what I'd say before hand....) A doctor has been trained! Nothing should be stupid or cause him/her to treat you differently (in a negative way)! In fact, I halfway expect your doctor to tell you, "Well I'm not too knowledgeable about this, go ahead and see Dr. So-and-so."
We're all special!

It's our quirks that make us interesting. But when those quirks make life difficult, then it's time to try to see what can be done. And I think you're making a really great decision!!!
P.S. I totally agree with the poster above me, great comments! Come on, don't you see all of us telling you our quirks and making sure you know you're not alone! You know why, because you're not, we're all here too (for you)!!! <virtual hug>
