I worked in retail in the past (Banana Republic - which is a Gap company). It isn't what it is cracked up to be.
To be honest, the pay is lousy. My schedule was ALWAYS fluctuating. And there have been times I had to work late doing inventory, floor changes, etc.
There were times when you felt great truly helping out a customer. BUT there were also a lot of frustrations dealing w/ irrate customers, thieves, etc.
Companies DO NOT pay for customer service anymore.
If I had to do it again, I would've done something else. It just is not worth the pay. |
