If you are sure your children won't hurt the puupy, then I'm sure a puppy would be a great addition. But I had rescued Jake from a family who had a baby who was 1.5 and she held him by the neck, like a doll. So they rehomed him to me. Most breeders will refuse to sell a puppy if you have small children, but of course that depends ont he breeder. My breeder told me she won't give her puppies to a home with little children. It's going to be VERY hard work paying attention to two small children and a very naughty puppy! I think you should wait a few years, or at least when you are very sure your kids won't get rough. But babies and toddlers are as unpredictable as puppies! Good luck!
