I love CC combs and brushes and I have the #008/7" all fine tail comb and love, love it. It's great for Izzy's silky coat and for doing awesome top-knots. I use the end of the comb to poof it out.
I love the handle - gives me better control of what I am doing. No it does not hurt my hand at all or get in the way.
I also have a gold tip fushion brush (which I don't use that much - get better results with the comb) and I just got the new #001/6" staggered buttercomb but boy is that one heavy to use. I still go back to my #008.
