Yes, kennel cough can last for months. it is horrible to hear, but when they are over it, you sure know the difference........ toby had kennel cough and we gave him roitussin for it (no antibiotics because there was no secondary infection) as with any viral sicknesses it is kinda like a cold i guess.... another thing is that the VACCINATIONS FOR KENNEL COUGH DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT ALWAYS WORK...... just to clarify, there are several virus germs that need to be present to cause kennel cough guardin against one of these germs is OK, it may work , but there is always another germ to step up and take up the slack causing the kennel cough anyways
again this is just so people are informed, i was horrified when i heard someone say that her dog can be around dogs that have kennel cough because her dog was vaccinated....... dont make the mistake this lady did (lol..... her dog got kennel cough )
