my 4 month yorkie boy used to do that all the time. it was frustrating becuz he'd miss the wee wee pad by like half an inch! but, i never yelled or punished him, becuz i figured that at least he's peeing in the right area.
someone told me to take a paper towel and absord his pee pee from the place he made his accident and then place that paper towel in the middle of the wee wee pad. i would lay the soiled paper towel flat.
what happened was -- the next time he had to pee, he went to the soiled paper towel in the middle of the pad and peed there! after that, i praised and praised him...eventually he figured out he had to pee in the middle of the pad!
oh and make sure u scrub out the area he messed up on, cuz if he smells that, he'll go pee there again. hope this helps! |
