Hi...I'm from Crawfordsville in Indiana and we had the same problem w/ our young yorkie of 14 wks. Purdue was our only option too and the cost was a fortune! Unfortuanlty our yorkie was very, very sick and passed away before we could get her all the treatment she needed. I don't mean to scare you....our yorkie was very young and she went down hill over night....there wasn't much they could do for her.
I was wondering if there was anywhere else to do surgery in Indiana. Even the testing for liver shunt is outragious. We got another one and I worry all the time about her.
From the symptoms you describe it's not the same as when ours had her...hers were definelty ALL the signs of Liver shunt. What ER did you go to? Lafayette?
