Yep, give it some time. Lily took a good two months to get over hers and it finally went away when I told the vet I didn't want any more antibiotics. She did get a cough suppressant at her last appointment that worked GREAT though (butorphanol). I did a lot of reading and researching and I really think the antibiotics were only slowing it down rather than working. We did two rounds of Clavomox and tried Primor but Lily had a reaction to it. Anyway, my vet said the problem Lily had was that she coughed so much that her throat was super irritated, and the more she coughed the more it was irritated--but the irritation MADE her cough, so it was like a never-ending cycle. So the cough suppressant allowed her to stop coughing and let her throat heal up. I hope your baby gets better soon. If you're like me though, it's at least a small consolation that they eat/drink and play.... they can't feel too bad!
