Rambeau had the same problem while we were at the beach. LOL my poor baby is a bug magnet. My DH just snapped the tick off and left the head, we had a battle about that. For two weeks I kept feeling the spot getting bigger and scabbing. I finally scraped the scab off and there were the awful remains of the tick head, it was a serious contrast to the little bit of puss and skin. Now it's healed. The biting parts of the head get buried up in the skin, ugly but probably harmless.
