Lot's of people get really upset about the word teacup, but actually there is no reason for you to get upset. It's just a nickname people have given "toy" dogs. It doesn't even mean the dog will be especially small because many dogs that are sold as teacups are over the Yorkie standard of 7 pounds and below. Not only that, but when a breeder uses the word "teacups" it’s a huge give-away that they are a poor breeder, and haven't studied one thing about the breed before breeding. So why clue this poor breed in on the secret? She could change this, and some people might think she's a good breeder. This forum is to educate the Yorkie buyer on how to choose a good breeder, so the "teacup" term comes up in that connection, but unless it's a breeder using the term, I wouldn't worry about it.
