I read somewhere that when you are being bitten by a dog (meaning attacked) if you have your hand in their mouth, push your hand toward the back of the throat. Kinda like giving a pill to a dog, you have to push it over the hump in the back of the throat. The dog will gag a little and spit out the pill right?
So when my dog was biting me I would gently push my finger to the back of his throat and he would gag enough to stop biting and didn't want to again. I do not mean ram your whole hand down the pup's throat, I just mean that if you were to have your finger in his mouth, the end of your finger and the base of your finger would catch on the corners of his mouth. This is not considered cruel or inhumane. Vets push their pills down dog's throats everyday to administer pills. This stopped my dogs from biting.
