Omg Home Alone

Hello everyone,

I posted a thread a few weeks ago concerned about leaving my Rocky at home alone while I went back to the office full-time. Everyone was so helpful and comforting - I really appreciated that!!

I have an update with another question/concern which I'd love to hear your opinions on ...

When we leave for work we put him in a play pen with a potty pad, food, water, toys, and his bed.

He has thus far been very lucky to have people visit him and take him away for fun. Yesterday was his first day home alone and he did very well from what I could see (went potty where he should, ate, etc.).

However, I just got a call from my brother who went to get him and he reported that Rocky had dumped over his water, ate all his food (by noon-ish I think) and went potty on the floor not on the potty pad.

We have a larger kennel and I am not sure if I should put him back in that - if this play pen is too much room for him to move around. I don't want him to be unhappy but I don't want him to spill out water and not be able to have fresh water to drink!

Any ideas? My guess is that Rocky (11 weeks yesterday) is very distraught that we left him this morning and he responds to this by bouncing around at the metal play pen crying and knocking over all that is in his way. I am still at work and feel sad for my poor little Rocky ...

Any advice/suggestions/similar experiences?

Thanks so much everyone ...
