Everybody has rights. That's the way it should be. There are basic human rights that I believe all are entitled to and one of the most basic is to treat others with dignity and respect, until it comes to a point when they forfeit that right. That can and does happen also.
These people that want to 'teach' can do it in a manner that is civil and I, for one, believe it needs to happen. If a person is incapable of learning they shouldn't be 'teaching'. When you teach by 'shoving it' it isn't a lesson well received or learned. Who wants to learn that way? Most will reject it simply because of the way it is delivered. A sincere desire to teach is not demonstrated by an overbearing rudeness but by actually taking the time to go through the process. Everyone doesn't learn at the same level or pace and that should be taken into consideration. That is, if one truly desires to 'teach'.
Yes. It has all been said before. I hope it will never stop being said. Because I still have a hope that the 'teachers' can also be 'learners' and that is why it needs to be said, yet again. When hope is lost what is there left? We all have a hope that more can be educated regarding how Yorkies should be cared for and treated. If we developed the attitude that it has all been said before and it won't make any difference, why bother to say it over and over again? Why???...because it might just teach one person today. Maybe another tomorrow. It has the potential to actually do some good.
We are a social society. We meet folks in the 'world' every day that are rude and seemingly uncaring. We have a choice of walking away or maybe making them understand that it isn't necessary to be rude to get one's point across. Sometimes the best choice
is to just walk away...but not always. I would rather continue to make the effort than to give up on it. If the effort to create change is not made then we have no hope of change. Be it the way folks treat each other or the way folks treat their Yorkies.
So why give up on the people if we don't give up on the Yorkies?

I believe if only one person finally 'gets it' then it is a betterment acheived. In either area. I also don't think that it means that if you continue to try to make a change, you will just end up disappointed in this forum and in life. Quite contrarily, I believe that when you give up trying is when you become disappointed in life.
Respectfully,
Sammi
