I would rather save a puppy from a puppy mill anyday - because they are going to be there whether I buy one or not - than to buy one from a plush breeder that is ensured a home even if they dont sale. Now - I feel even closer to her. I feel as if I 'rescued' the poor thing. She was born regardless - I was blessed to have met her and given her a great home. Without the condition of having an AKC certificate. Sure that makes sense.
Its satisfying - moreso than a certificate. |
Many people feel like you do, I hope during your time at Yorkietalk you will rethink this position. You might have "saved" your puppy, but you have condemned more to live in these horrible conditions. Now, I promise I don't want to make you feel bad. More than half of the people here got the pets in a similar way, however, I hope you become an advocate for good breeding, and supporting those who do try their best at improving the breed. Please don't make stereotypes about "plush" breeders, it's extremely difficult to be a good and ethical breeder, and extremely difficult to find one as well.
