I am not an 'avid' collector. I simply like dolls. I made one porcelain doll many years agao and still have her. I love Lee Middleton dolls. I have a few cloth dolls that I designed and made. One large Uncle Sam doll. So, I think these reborns are simply precious, but then, I love babies so much. All babies. Human and animal.
But....making a baby to look like one that has passed on causes me to feel distressed. Much like those that would have their pet done at a taxidermist. The thought makes me ill.

I don't consider these types of dolls to be anything at all like the dolls that men buy. That is something entirely different. The purpose behind those is certainly what I would consider a perversion of a sexual nature. Nope. Nothing like. |
Oh I didnt mean it like a sexual perversion, I meant how they think a doll is going to fill the need for a companion. The thing with the dolls for the men, the men said it went deeper than a sexual need, they actually treated these dolls like they were their real wives! Very odd indeed, and sad. Its like they were so afraid to have a real relationship.
