Exhausted- LOL. Yep! Having to work at the presented food gives dogs a physical work out as well as mental stimulation! I also find it interesting that you're seeing a difference just by
reducing the Primal!
I eventually cut out EVERYTHING and went "hardcore" prey model. Surprise, suprise; Toy went through detox again after that.... it reminded me just how severely polluted and fragile his health really was. Of course, diet alone did not bring him there in the first place. The yearly plethora of vaccinations should have its own section of victim accounts. But what really did my dog in was Heartguard and Frontline!
P.S. If anybody wants to make the leap to home grinding, I had the pleasure of testing a few duds to end up with a winner;

I am certain its the fruits and veggies, so I have started feeding organic chicken parts and buying organs and other meats from a butcher and just giving them to him to chow down on. A local pet shop also sells 'parts' ready to eat and fresh green tripe so he is only eating primal about 50% of the time and I am seeing positive changes!
Another benefit - he is EXHAUSTED after feeding time |
