I am working hard to try to break the fixation they have on each other, on the advice of a man who trains working Spaniels. He suggested instead of doing things together I should do things with them individually so that the bond they have with me is stronger than the bond they have with eachother. Makes sense ... so they are taken on walks and played with separately for the meantime until I see an improvement. Certainly the signs are that Rhia is bonding very well with me because I do notice that she has begun to ignore Caro on occasions, preferring to be on her own or with the oldest dog Pepsi who is 10 years old.

It's all so very interesting and challenging ... I'm loving it.
