Well, to my mind - having a list of any/all breeders is really not
much different than allowing any/all For Sale Threads. Less impassioned perhaps, but not all that much different. I think having the ads at least allows for feedback/input - and we all learn from it, at least I know I have over the years - haven't we all? I know the way I choose has been completely molded by what I have learned HERE - and largely in part by the For Sale Threads, the Breeder Section and YOU GOOD PEOPLE.
It's a tough one. I agree that there is NO way to screen breeders - I see no plausible way to "pre-judge" reputable vs. non-reputable, nor any way to screen what is acceptable or not (in terms of the breeder). This is subjective territory, and how does one pre-judge that online?
I have seen some great buyers connect with some great sellers here, so....
I guess I'm useless....
