Ahhh...Don't cry Lots of us have Yorkies with LP - including myself. My Roxy girl had Grade 2+ and Grade 3 in her rear legs. I went to see a specialist in Westbury NY, Dr. Hinton from the Center for Specialized Vet Care

We had surgery done on both legs at the same time and the cost was approx. $3000 - Now I know that sounds like a lot of money (well, it is) BUT she was worth every penny. Once her legs were repaired she was a BRAND new girl ~ The change was unbelievable.

Now, some that have LP may never need surgery. The reason why we did for Roxy, was because she started to limp and carry her leg, very often, so we knew it was time.

Please don't give him away Have you actually seen an Cert. Ortho Specialized yet? Honestly, LP surgery should ONLY be done by a Cert. Ortho Surgeon, these little guys have such little legs, bones, and tendons, and once inside the knee you really want/need someone with the experience and even the crafty and artistic touch to do any unforseen *stuff*.

Keep us posted
