Tell your husband that Loki's medicine is $130 a month for the rest of his life and there is no surgery or cure. Is he going to just keep trading dogs until he gets a healthy one? It will always be something. It was Sammy's knees but otherwise she is healthy. Loki has diabetes insipidus, but his knees are fine. Someone else might have a perfectly healthy dog that eats a sock and needs surgery! It's sad when someone has to give up a dog because they can't afford it or don't have time for it, but he's being pretty selfish to think that you should give him away and get ANOTHER one just because he's not perfect. Sam's LP surgery was VERY successful and now she *is* perfect.
