Jaxon is doing a wonderful job of holding it (for the most part) until we get home from work. He occasionally pees in his crate but he rarely ever poops in his crate while we are gone. So when we get home, we take him out and he will do his business and he hangs out with us for a while. Well, by the time its bedtime, we seem to find little "presents" areound the house, whether it be a pee spot or poop.

How can I teach him to let me know when he needs to go outside?

Also, should we keep him in the crate even once we are home in order to ensure that he doesnt leave "presents" while we are looking the other way?
