I am mildly allergic to dogs and cats. I usually have allergy attacks when I allow my dogs to sleep on my bed or after I cut their hair. My dogs have to sleep on their own bed, and the groomer has to cut their hair. If I let my dogs sleep on my bed, in the morning I will have to take Benadryl. I wish I could cut my dogs' hair myself , but it's not worth suffering through the allergy attacks. I hate taking Benadryl because I end up sleeping my day away. No other allergy medicine works for me except Benadryl. I love my dogs. I just have to find ways to avoid getting allergy attacks, so I can enjoy living with my pets.
