Summerwinds is a great product "IF" your dog doesn't flake with it. I have one dog it doesn't work with because of the type of coat and he got flakes. But on my fine silk coated dogs I found Summerwinds to work. On the heavier or modified silk coats I find Summerwinds not to work as well...
I hope this helps also Just like humans what works for one dog might not work for others. Like someone pointed out it's trial and error
