Yeah if he was holding it before and now he's not, it's probably because he can't hold it. Loki learned *very* early not to poop in the house or in his crate, months before he stopped having pee accidents (although we found out that was medical, but still) anyway, he had diarrhea a lot as a puppy and those were the only times he would have accidents in his crate or in the house. I'm so proud of him now he even tells us when he has to go out if he's sick... but not as a puppy.

Can you try fasting him or feeding rice and chicken? What food did you go from and to? Did you change it slowly? Have you been to the vet? A couple times when i thought Loki's diarrhea was food related it was giardia (who knows how, he's not one to sniff or lick strange things outside) and then it messed up his system forever. We thought he was "allergic" to things but really once he got a little older and his stomach got stronger he could eat anything. Cheese made him sick as a pup and now he can have it no problem. That kind of thing.

I hope you figure it out!

(Oh also - if he's going in the middle of the night you can change his feeding schedule and it should change when he needs to go. Different foods may move through his system differently, you never know.)
