hank was in the same situation. if it was going on before she went to the groomer it might be a yeast infection (or beginnings of). Hank had this and i had no clue he had it. After some one informed me about yeast infections i started to see the signs.
Not professional info but this is what i have learned
1. Yorkie's are really susceptible to yeast infections
2. They start in the ears when your baby scratches their ears it transfers/spreads to their legs and so on and so forth throughout their body
3. A mid to late sign of a yeast infection is a pungent smell of the ear canal.
Ear cleaner really helps this ( if this is the problem!)
I use a home remedy approved by my vet as well.
I mix:
1/2 parts alcohol
1/4 parts vinegar
and
1/4 parts hydrogen peroxide
The alcohol dries the ear canal because the fungus cant grow in a dry place
The vinegar increases the acidity and kills the fungus/infection and yeast bacteria.
And the Hydrogen peroxide helps to heal the damaged tissue.
for the skin i use an anti fungal shampoo called SOOTHE*
I hope this helps |
