" - "Hey Steddy, Hey Tator!" - I always tell them...I don't know why you guys act so happy to see us, it's not a GOOD thing that we are in here again ya know" lol.

I don't know why my little ones are always having issues They get the best care, the best food, etc. I just don't get it Stedman NEVER has any problems, up until now. In fact, before this, the ONLY thing he had been to the vet for, was shots. Except he did have kennel cough when he was little, but they discovered that when he went in for shots because I mentioned it to them. I don't know, I just don't understand. All the dogs that I had before this in my lifetime never had any issues - except my Cocker Spaniel when she got older. We are SO lucky with our babies, because they are perfect for us and we love them, we've just unfortunately got UNlucky with alot of the health issues that they've had I know these are things that any baby can get, but dang....it seems like BOTH of my little ones always have something going on

Anyway, sorry for rambling...but if anyone knows anything about pet health insurance, I'd love to hear about it. My hubby was looking at some online and several that he found didn't cover half of what Tatum has (all her issues) so that would be pretty useless to us. He did find Purinacare and said that it SEEMED to be pretty good...but who knows.

Ok...hubby and I are off to get something to eat. We're both starving and there is no way I'm cooking tonight after this long day I've had Hugs to you all and thank you all again so much for all of your care and concern for my sweet little guy

Brooke, Gayla (Layla's Mom) and I have been looking into pet insurance. With the recent loss of Taffy, Kosmo's sister, to encephalitis, which is what took Kosmo from me as well, we felt this is something we need to get for our babies, Max and Layla, who came from the same parents. And Taffy and Kosmo's only remaining littermate Sebastian, who belongs to a friend of mine.

Anyway, we have decided to go with PetPlan. PetPlan is the only pet insurance that covers inherited diseases and allows you to pick your deductible and your percentage of reimbursement. Of course the lower the deductible and higher percent remimbursement will have a higher monthly payment but it is still resaonable. The gold plan also has other options.

This is straight from their website Petplan Pet Insurance for Dogs and Cats - hope this helps

Petplan policies provide the most comprehensive reimbursement for veterinary fees relating to treatment administered by a licensed veterinarian for illness or injury (provided that it is not pre-existing or occurred during a waiting period) such as:

*Hospitalization - including emergency treatment
*Diagnostic testing - such as MRIs, x-rays, endoscopy
*Surgery - including cruciate ligament surgery and organ transplants but not spay/neuter
*Cancer treatment - regardless of the type of cancer
*Non-routine dental treatment - such as tooth extraction, root canal but not routine teeth cleaning
*Prescription medications
*Referral and specialist treatment
*Alternative and complementary treatments - such as acupuncture, hydrotherapy or chiropractic treatment

Depending on the type of policy that you select we can also pay for:
*Advertising and reward costs if your dog goes missing
*Boarding fees if you're hospitalized and no-one else can look after your dog
*Vacation cancellation due to your dog’s life-threatening illness or injury, and
*Compensation if you lose your dog through straying, illness or injury
