Being 10 weeks old, I would ALWAYS leave water, food and pees pads. Most people that feed kibble do free feed their entire lives, as Yorkies tend to eat a little here and a little there.
Peeing on the edge. Since you are going to contain him, now is your chance to introduce a litter box, but with the pee pad inside the box. This forces him to step into the box to do potty, therefore no more peeing on the edges.
Please be careful 'what' you leave for him to chew on during the day...always inspect it and think to yourself: Can this be dangerous in any way? That goes for toys and chew treats. Better to be safe than sorry |
Thank you for the great advice! Water and food are always available to him. I will look into the litter training - I thought about it initally but was not able to find any litter at the few places I looked - but I will look again .. maybe tonight! I totally agree about not leaving anything that could cause harm to chew on ... I will be safe with my little guy!!
