My advice....

I am not into crate training, instead I prefer an x-pen.

Being 10 weeks old, I would ALWAYS leave water, food and pees pads. Most people that feed kibble do free feed their entire lives, as Yorkies tend to eat a little here and a little there.

Peeing on the edge. Since you are going to contain him, now is your chance to introduce a litter box, but with the pee pad inside the box. This forces him to step into the box to do potty, therefore no more peeing on the edges.

Please be careful 'what' you leave for him to chew on during the day...always inspect it and think to yourself: Can this be dangerous in any way? That goes for toys and chew treats. Better to be safe than sorry
