OMG ,I'ms o sorry you are going through this. It seems every few days something else changes with the mom and pups.Iwish there was a way to have her sleep closer to you guys.
Our Lola has now started to NOT want to be in the Xpen anymore so the Xpen is now open and she is free to roam our masterbathroom.Im so scared because my hubby gets ready for work at 5 am and I get scared thinking he might walk in and step on the puppy if Lola moved him out of the box. Sowe now leave the dim bathroom light on 24hrs a day so we cansee when we step over the puppygate into the bathroom floor.She now takes breaks away from her baby and sits next to the whelping box to groom herself.She's still shows concern for her baby but leaves him for a few minutes now to eat and potty. Before she HAD to eat in the whelping box or she refused all food. So I'm feeling that pretty soon she's not going to want to be with him either.
I'll check for updates on why she may be doing this. I'm curious to know myself in case Lola does the same.
