My oldest fm retired now refused to have her pups anywhere but in my closet, no matter how I tried to make her stay somewhere else she would not, may be you should try the welping box in your daughters room nd leave it for now so she can get in and out on her own, is this her first litter? if so she is longing for you to help her and comfort her, How old are the pups? If they are under 2wks they need a heating pad under them if this is their than mom may be getting to hot put the pad on low and cover it with a blanet/towel I use pillow shams old ones of corse, work with her inthe day time , petting her while she is in with her babies , tell her what a good mommy she is being this will help her feel more sure of herself. I don't know much elese to say but to a point like it or not you are going to have to let her have her way, the more ou stress her out, the less she will want to have anything to do with the puppies, This means as well lack of sleep for you sweetie, sorry but you will need to get up every 3 hrs to check on the puppies and Mom or you could lose the pups just keep putting her with her babies and telling her what a good Mom she is, She should calm down in the next 2-3 days, I hope I helped, Maybe someone here has a better Idea but that all I know to tell you, goood luck, I have went as far asto sleep on the sofa with the pups next to me in their bed of couse and let mom sllep with me and get up evey 3-4 hrs and check on her make go feed them and praise her for that you won't have to stay on the sofa but about 3-4 days, It is tough being a breeder but you gotta do whatever it takes hope I helped, Denise |
