I'm glad there are others out there watching out for our furry little friends. I actually called 911 (police) and they forwarded me to animal control...........I would have been happy to see a police car there.
I had gone and looked at the little cherub first because he/she was barking, then when I realized it was still in the car while I was getting the # and all, and it wasn't barking anymore, I couldn't go look anymore. I didn't know what to do? I wanted to break the window..........oh it just tore my heart out. I also had originally written a note that said "it is way too hot out for this dog to be in the car, this is animal cruelty!".....so they will get that too.
I am going to keep ever vigilant with papers, pens, and my trusty phone to call them in. Everytime the heat goes up here, I instantly worry about the animals - in cars, in yards with no water or shelter. God it just tears my heart out.............
