I was skeptical, but I did go ahead and get her because I am willing to have a hernia removed. I know the breeder, so I do trust her, but she told me she went to her Vet and he said the bump was a "fat pocket" and most likely NOT a health problem. Is this normal? A "fat pocket" on a puppy? I have never heard of a fat pocket, but I could just be uneducated I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or if there is such a thing as a "fat pocket." And if anyone's puppies have had a hernia, how was it taken care of? Was it a difficult procedure? Is it most likely a hernia and NOT a fat pocket? I would appreciate some opinions! Thanks very much in advance! |
I would take the puppy to a vet and let him/her say what the bump is. I took my nine-year-old Bichon boy to the vet because he had a small soft lump on one side of his abdomen. The vet said it was a fat pocket and no problem. I think a hernia can be taken care of just fine.
