Hey everyone, when I bought my 10 week old baby I met with my breeder and she told me about a small "bump" on her lower abdomen. I personally looked myself, but saw nothing. My breeder told me that the "bump" would go in and out, sometimes showing and sometimes not. She claimed it to be possibly a hernia or "fat pocket." I was skeptical, but I did go ahead and get her because I am willing to have a hernia removed. I know the breeder, so I do trust her, but she told me she went to her Vet and he said the bump was a "fat pocket" and most likely NOT a health problem. Is this normal? A "fat pocket" on a puppy? I have never heard of a fat pocket, but I could just be uneducated
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or if there is such a thing as a "fat pocket." And if anyone's puppies have had a hernia, how was it taken care of? Was it a difficult procedure? Is it most likely a hernia and NOT a fat pocket? I would appreciate some opinions! Thanks very much in advance!
