I need some advice quickly. I have a friend that has two min daschunds, male is eleven months, female is just over two years. Both are registered. Because of the economy, they are going to have to give them away. Also, they think the female is recently pregnant. They offered them both, or either to me if I wanted them.

My question is, they have both been backyard dogs all their lives, arent housetrained, and don't know simple commands. They are smart, and healthy.

I'm wondering, can a two year old dog who may be pregnant be housetrained?

PLease let me hear your opinions quickly, as I'm afraid for the little girls future welfare.
