I'm sorry, I don't want to stir anything up but I would like to bring up a different aspect to this.

May I ask why you want to breed?

Have you ever checked out the Humane Society or looked at any dog rescues? There are a gazillion dogs that are homeless, hungry and in dire need of love and medical attention. People think that because their dogs are cute that they would like to have another one like them. I, too, used to think that way but after reading about puppy mills (NOT implying you), back yard breeders, humane societies, dog rescues and even watching the animal planet station I realized that there are far too many unwanted pets out there. Please don't take this wrong - I love all animals and wouldn't destroy any, but the fact of the matter is there are just too many reproducing - unnecessarily. Not to be rude, but I think people who breed "just because" are just being selfish.

Instead of breeding - couldn't you go and rescue a dog from a shelter?

I see you're from LA... were you aware of just how many animals were left behind after Katrina? Please look at the following sites... it's food for thought.

puppy mills - Google Image Search

Hurricane Katrina animal victims. Dog & pet rescue organization |Animal Shelter Rescue | Muttshack Animal Rescue New Orleans

ARF | Animal Rescue Foundation

Please rethink about breeding.

I'm not trying to preach or put you down - I just hope this opens your eyes a little bit. And yes, both of my babies are spay/neutered.
