Aww I am so sorry to hear your dad has been ill. I know it must be very scary for you. It sound like he is in really good hands though.
A cystoscope allows the doctors to see the inside lining of the bladder and take a lil snip of tissue if they see any tumors or erosions.
I will try to help answer questions anytime I can. Even though I am an ortho trauma nurse, I still have some GU experience. My mom had bladder cancer and had to have her bladder removed. She lead a very normal life following the removal of her bladder for 8 yrs until she had other issues. Although 12 hgb is not optimal..it is not bad in the scheme of things.
