No tools are needed from Home Depot..you are docking Yorkie tails, not elephants. LOL LOL
A clamp is the small medical clamp..you can buy them many places..supply catologs etc.
Simply put the clamp at the length you want..I like a bit longer show docking..so it is a bit outside the gold. Gentle clamp between cartiledge..easy to feel..then allow the clamp to stay about 3 mins..simple grasp the base of the tail and the remainder on the other side of the clamp and twist until it falls off. Leave the clamp for anther 3 to 5 mins...it will be crimped like a pie crust and there is no bleeding or need to stitch..I do the same with dew claws. Clean the clamp prior with alcohol, then run water over them...no need to stress the puppy with alcohol or iodine burning. I have never had an infection...used to get them in tails that were surtured..my email is Primyork@aol if I can be of any help.
