They gave me two sedatives because I ended up needing AK in my right eye. That was because my astigmatism was so high in that eye (20/2400) they had to cut my eye w/a scalpel from 10-2 o'clock and then again from 4-7 o'clock.
I got up this morning and for the first time in over 30 years was able to read the clock w/out my glasses. I started screaming "Holy Crap"................my poor hubby thought something terrible was wrong.
Im sorry for babbling but I just want to tell anyone who is considering it - GO FOR IT!!!!! It is amazing, and the pleasure I got from going today and purchasing myself a pair of fashionable sunglasses was amazing!
Thanks to everyone back in march who were so supportive and informative (especially Marci!)
Just had to share my happy news!!!!
I totally know how you feel and I am very glad for you. Actually, I had RK some years back and being able to see when I first woke in the morning was most amazing to me as well!

Congratulations on your new found happiness at what most people take for granted.

I am immensely happy for you!
