I don't see much difference in these two statements. The quote from me was in the original post.
I certainly wasn't bashing China for anything at all. It was a point of interest. If I were to bash China over anything it would be the melamine in the wheat gluten (which gave it a higher protein reading and thusly raised the price of it)that went into the dog and cat food that killed so many animals that ate it..... and the lead in the toys. This however, has nothing to do with culture. It has to do with responsibility.
I have friends that are from different countries. I like some of the foods they eat and some of it you couldn't pay me to eat it. However, they are my friends and they are free to eat anything they like, just as I am. I have asked that they not prepare certain dishes (that they love) in
my kitchen because it reeks for days. If the smell of it turns my stomach, I can't abide it. This has nothing to do with their culture. It has to do with my personal taste. And.....I still love my friends and they still love me.
