Has anyone had to deal with this? The whole procedure sounds painful. Having to cut off the head of the bone. /cringe They'd better make sure it's necessary!!

What's the recovery time like? What are the do's and don'ts for recovery? The big question, how much should it cost? Not that it matters. It's gonna get done if it turns out he needs it.
