You would think that they would treat a person who is willing to pay a $1000 stud fee with a reasonable amount of respect.
You did not explain in what way she was rude but if she questioned you a lot and if she seemed uninterested in letting you use her male then maybe she just did not feel comfortable letting you use her male. Have you ever breed dogs before or whelped a litter? Just because a person goes and buys a expensive bitch from show lines and breeds her, that does not make you a show breeder. Real show breeders put their heart and soul into their dogs. They attend shows, they study pedigrees and they suffer many disappointments in their goal of breeding the perfect Yorkie. Breeding dogs can be very heart breaking at times but it can also be very rewarding. It is not just about money, a $1,000 would mean nothing to a show breeder if they bred their dog to a bitch and the puppies got in the wrong hands or if the puppies had serious health issues, then the owner of the stud would be blamed and their reputation could be tarnished. It takes time to build trust and confidence with a reputable show breeder. Does the person you got your bitch from show? Do you have a mentor? If the person you got your female from shows dogs then she should be able to help you find a suitable male to breed your female to since she knows the lines. We would love to see pictures of your girl.
