Oh how I feel for you. Sadly there are too many breeders out there not doing any kind of genetic testing...just breeding away making money out of these poor animals.

As long as you have the letter from your vet stating the puppy had problems you shouldn't have any problems at all. I can't blame you for not wanting a replacement since it'd be from the same place!

It seems these back yard breeders think hiring a lawyer means they'll scare you enough to back down. I was threatened when I posted a bad review of a breeder. I got a letter in the mail stating I was to stop saying bad things about this breeder or else. I called the lawyer and told them that what she did to me was horrible and shame on her! I would not retract my statements. Stick to your guns, it's harder to fight for what is right but if you save just one other person out there it'll be worth it(and you'll actually sleep better at night).
