It is funny the things that freak them out. Max is fine with frogs, etc. On walks he usually 'baptizes' every garbage can in the neighborhood, unless there is a box or something different on top. In that case, he growls and backs up. After Christmas, he was totally freaked out by Christmas trees left on the curb. I guess he's a tree hugger and those dead trees upset him.
