Well, Miko was a very sick puppy. When we got him he had coccidia, a heart murmur, luxating patellas, hypoglycemia, a severe case of coccidia, and we later found out that he also had liver disease...My poor baby has been through a lot, but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.
We found out a couple of months later that this woman was actually a broker for puppymills!!!

I am glad that you are asking questions about how to do it the right way...
I would suggest going to the YTCA website and looking for breeders in your state. From there, you can look at websites, if they have one, or call them to find out more info about them. By talking to them, you should be able to narrow it down a bit.

Good luck!!
Not all breeders are listed. I went to this ladies site and she has a lot of females, and 3 males. she is is Michigan but I couldn't find her listed on the website for yorkshire terriers club. Infact I couldn't find any of the breeders that pm'd me about having puppies from this forum. So how do you take it any further then that? AKC website? will just take you to the yorkshire terrier club site. I didn't try to break it down further to maybe regional or local clubs?
