I am so sorry that you and your family are going through this. My prayers are with Michelle. Last year at this time my father in law was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. We went everywhere, New York, Houston and everyone said it was inoperable. But they did keep mentioning Dr. Heros and Dr. Morcos both at Jackson Memorial Hospital (right in our backyard). Dr. Morcos eventually did the 12 hour surgery. The key here is to become informed, Michelle won't be able to do this but you can. I found out the type of cancer it was and I got on the internet. I spent hours reading blogs about other people and their experience with this type of cancer (adenocarcinoma). The bottom line is that doctors are very knowledgeable but you are your best advocate and you need to be informed. For my husband it was emotionally overwhelming so I did all the inquiring.
