Please pray for my daughter

I am so sorry that you and your family are going through this. My prayers are with Michelle. Last year at this time my father in law was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. We went everywhere, New York, Houston and everyone said it was inoperable. But they did keep mentioning Dr. Heros and Dr. Morcos both at Jackson Memorial Hospital (right in our backyard). Dr. Morcos eventually did the 12 hour surgery. The key here is to become informed, Michelle won't be able to do this but you can. I found out the type of cancer it was and I got on the internet. I spent hours reading blogs about other people and their experience with this type of cancer (adenocarcinoma). The bottom line is that doctors are very knowledgeable but you are your best advocate and you need to be informed. For my husband it was emotionally overwhelming so I did all the inquiring. Oh Barb, I'm just now seeing this!! I'm so sorry to hear what Michelle and your family are all going through....... Please know that we will be on our knees in prayer for all of you, that you may find strength - and comfort in knowing that God has His healing hand in this...

Prayer's coming for Michelle. I pray the tumor is an operatable one.
I know of several people who have or have had a brain tumor.
Each with a different outcome since there are seveal types of
brain tumors. I pray Michelle's is treatable.

not sure if my mom's brain tumor was the same kind or not....her's was up about mid way...started behind left ear and just traveled and rested between lobes....it was the size of a golf ball...it was totally removed and was not cancer....she had the surgery in November of this past year.....at first she acted as though she had had a stroke...but that was cause the tumor had been setting on her main nerve for years......so everything had to wake back up.......today most side effects are gone....if she gets tired you still notice some of it...and if she trys to talk too fast you still hear a little slur....but she is fine...never been bitter or anything,,,said God has a reason for all this....we were the ones that worried...she never did......good luck and God Bless you and your family

Thanks to you and everyone else for sharing your stories. I know in my heart Michelle will be okay. The frustrating thing is that they still have not done the MRI. Michelle is in a very busy general hospital in downtown Houston and they get so many emergencies that they don't worry about you unless you have a immediate life threatening condition. Michelle is in a room with two other women that have broken legs and the other women have been waiting for days to have surgery on their legs. Michelle is in good spirits tonight. She knows she has to be patient. I told her this is just a little blip in her life and she will get past it. The tumor is about the size of a quarter and is oblong in shape. The good news is that the doctor said it is a smooth tumor and those kind are usually not cancerous. All your prayers are so much appreciated. Thank you all so much.
