My shih tzu did that when she was a pup and a breeder friend said to feed her a fig newton everyday. I cut it in half and fed it to her for a few days and no more poo eating!
When our elderly schnauzer started eating poo I fed him fig newtons too and it worked. Plus they LOVE the cookies like they are a treat. Good luck.
