Pearl's smallest was the only girl, 2.7 oz. at birth. It took about 6 hours to get her to latch on and nurse. I had to hold a nipple in place, hold her to it and squirt some milk to give her a taste. She was so weak at first she couldn't stay on so I held her and gradually loosed my grip til she held on by herself. At first i had to move the 2 bigger ones aside as they finished nursing and let the 2 small ones have at it ( one boy was 3.2 oz.). They're now 3 days old and all are gaining weight and are doing well. The 2 bigger ones already look like little porkers. As long as your small one gets his share, he'll gain strength quickly. I used Nutri-drops on the babies and with Pearl to give them a good start. The little girl today weighed 3.9 oz., a gain of 1.2 since birth.
